Ruth A. Schroeder

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at St. John Cantius Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Ruth A. Schroeder, age 93, of St. Cloud who died Saturday, January 19, 2008 at St. Benedict’s Senior Community in St. Cloud. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and after 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the Daniel Funeral Funeral Home in St. Cloud. Parish prayers will be at 5:00 p.m. followed by the Rosary Sodality at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Ruth was born June 16, 1914 in Collegeville, Minnesota to Aloys and Sophia (Hofmann) Lenarz. She married Benedict P. Schroeder on July 21, 1936 at Holy Angels Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Ruth lived in St. Cloud most of her life. She was a member of St. John Cantius Parish, Rosary Sodality and St. Catherine’s Mission Group.

Ruth is survived by her children, Peter F. (Arlene C.) of Lino Lakes, Bernard (Mary Anne) of Lancaster, Pennsylvania and Janet (Neil) Laitala of Milaca; six grandchildren, Carolee, Lee, Cindy, Tom, Tim and Craig; eight great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Marjorie Nelson of Everett, Washington, David of St. Cloud, Elizabeth Ring of Corvallis, Oregon, James of Minneapolis and Lawrence of Palm Springs, California.

Preceding her in death are her parents; husband; and two brothers, Reverend Bernard and Leander.

Memorials are preferred are preferred in lieu of flowers.
