Sharon R. "Shari" Westra

 A Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 8, 2008 at Atonement Lutheran Church in St. Cloud for Sharon R. “Shari” Westra, age 55, of St. Cloud who died Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at her home in St. Cloud. Reverend John Kroschel will officiate. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 PM Friday (TODAY) at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud, and after 9:00 AM at Atonement Lutheran Church on Saturday.
Sharon Rae Westra passed away peacefully in her home on March 4th, 2008. She was born August 28, 1952 in Madison, WI to Arlan and Joyce (Bangs) Anderson. Sharon moved to St. Cloud, MN in 1967 and graduated from Tech High School in 1970. In 1974 she met the love of her life and best friend Duan. In 1975 they married and over the next few years they had two children, Jaime and Christi. Sharon worked at Miller as an Assistant Property Manager for 8 years. She worked for the family business for 8 years. She then worked at Bankers Systems for 7 years until she retired in 2001 due to her illness. Shari was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and a great friend to everyone she met. Her faith in God was strong and her smile warmed the hearts of everyone around her. Shari / Mom, we will miss you but we know you are in the best hands.
Sharon is survived by: her husband Duan; daughters Jaime (Clint) Neff of Westminster, CO, and Christi Westra (Jeff Alvord) of Sartell; grandchildren Brady, Cali, Cobi; mother Joyce Procknow of Tomahawk, WI; brother Gary of Tomahawk WI, and sister Karin Lemke of Tomahawk, WI.
Preceding her in death are her father Arlan Anderson, sister Laurel Daigle, and step father Joe Procknow.
Memorials are preferred.
