Shellea Jean Pfingsten

September 12, 1951 – July 4, 2012

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 9, 2012 at Rejoice Lutheran Church in Clearwater, for Shellea Jean Pfingsten, age 60, of Becker, who passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Reverend Tim Lindhorst will officiate. Burial will take place at the Becker Cemetery in Becker.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Daniel Funeral Home in Clearwater and one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.

Shellea was born September 12, 1951 in Litchfield, Minnesota to Menser and Helen (Leason) Midtling. She married Alvin Pfingsten on December 24, 1969 in Dassel, Minnesota. She graduated from Grove City High School before receiving her nursing degree from St. Paul Ramsey School of Nursing. Throughout her life, Shellea worked as a Registered Nurse at the University of Minnesota Medical Center, St. Cloud Hospital, and most recently Reach-Up Head Start in St.Cloud.

Shellea enjoyed spending time at the lake, bird feeding and bird watching, growing flowers, traveling and outdoor activities. She especially treasured the time spent with her family.

Shellea is survived by her husband of 42 years, Al; children, Derek (Kelly) Pfingsten of Grafton, ND, Jason (Kami) Pfingsten of Clear Lake; grandchildren, Gabrielle, Kaden, Karter, and Kierra; brother and sisters, Bradley Midtling, Marlene Midtling both of Litchfield, Debbie (Gary) Bengtson of Urbandale, IA; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Audrey; and one sister-in-law, Clarice Midtling.

She will be greatly missed as a loving Wife and Mother and an adoring Grandmother by her family.

A Special Thank You to the Staff at the St. Cloud Hospital for the wonderful care given to Shellea.
