Saddened to see Shirley leave us. I enjoyed our visits. She was such a caring and vibrant lady. I will miss our visits.

Shirley P. Vogt
September 22, 1925 – February 20, 2010

Shirley P. Vogt, 84 passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at her daughter’s residence after a brief battle with Lymphoma.
Shirley was born on September 22, 1925 in Royalton, Minnesota to the late Edwin and Gladys (Pratt) Coenen. She married Alvin Graf on August 12, 1947 at St. Mary’s Cathedral in St. Cloud. He passed away on August 17, 1970. She married Ed Vogt on May 18, 1973 in Onamia. He passed away on May 9, 2002. Shirley lived all of her married life in St. Cloud and moved to Duluth in 2002.
She is survived by her daughter Debbie Bernick of Duluth; grandchildren, Aaron Bernick, Rachel Bernick and Ryan (Robin) Strand; great granddaughter, Shelby Strand; brother, Odell Coenen; and sisters, Lorraine Rohling and Gloria Helterline.
She was preceded in death by both husbands; daughter Diane Benner on November 6, 1992; brothers, Charles and Gerald Coenen; and sisters, Beverly Czoik, and Geraldine Sufka.
The family would like to extend a special thank you for the compassionate nursing care provided by Wendy Marshall and Wendy from St. Luke’s Hospice.
Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, February 22, 2010 at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud. Reverend Gregory Lieser will officiate. Entombment will be private at Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum in St. Cloud.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday and from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud.
