I’m so sorry you have to deal with the death of your mom, Mary. Please know you are all in our prayers and we think of you often.
Sue has made a lifetime impact on me. Her unconditional love for her daycare children and myself, was truly inspiring to see. The memories that I have made in that house will never be forgotten and neither will the friendships that I made. I can only attempt to be as loving and kind as Sue was and I will strive to live more like her every day. I know I will forever miss her and always look at her as my second Mom. She is in my thoughts and prayers constantly.
Love,
Jake Herges
Oh my gosh. Where to start. We all loved Suzie so much! Our boys just loved their “Suzie days” as they woke up each morning and their first words of the day were “Is it a Suzie day”? Sometimes I felt my name was “Suzie, I mean Mom”! We all loved Sue! I mean, Really, loved her. She was the bright spot in many lives of so many children throughout the years. She welcomed us every morning with her cheerful Good morning and always had a good thing to say at the end of each day – even when the report wasn’t all good – Suzie found the good. She was more than a Daycare Provider – she became a friend, and an very important person in the lives of so many children, as well as mentor to parents. Suzie was awesome to say the least. We will miss her. I like to picture her with her sister, surrounded by all the children she can find. To me, that is what I perceive heaven would be for her. My condolences to you all.
What a beautiful tribute. She is going to be missed greatly. It is hard to believe this sweet women had to leave us so early. I couldn’t ask for a better person to watch my child. She was like a second mom to me. I would call her on the weekends and ask her for her advice. She was a patient and loving women to my two boys. I wish she was still here, we are going to miss her.
The world is a much better place because of Sue. She opened her home and heart to so many children over the years and has touched so many lives. She will be dearly missed.
We will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers.
Susie was a kind, loving and generous person taken from us way to soon. You will be missed by so many. You will forever be in our hearts and memories and thoughts. Our condolences to your family.
Tom and family – my thoughts and prayers are with you during this most difficult time.
Oh my GOSH! I just got done watching the beautiful photo tribute! It is so like Suzie to have a child either on her lap or in her arms during most of these pictures! Children naturally felt comforted by the love of Sue, her touch, and her ease! Another thing that strikes me is the shine in Suzie’s eyes and the dimples of her cheeks as she starts to laugh! So precious, and so typical of her!
We will surely miss Sue. I know, for our family, she had such a great bond and attachment to the girls. She (and the rest of the Andersons) were there to help us out in so many tight situations when we needed daycare for a bit longer (or for a night [or for a weekend]). I especially remember Sue’s tender and much appreciated visits to the hospital when Chelsie was up there for the week. Sue was not only a great friend to our children, she was a great friend to us as well. We will miss you dearly, Sue.
Andersons, may you feel the sweet arms and love of Jesus wrap around you and keep you comforted in the days and weeks ahead. May you be able to turn your grief, at some point, in to warm and precious memories of Sue. And, may you be comforted in knowing that she is in heaven. Sue has probably already got all sorts of children around her, and without a doubt she has had the most wonderful reunions with loved ones she has missed.
With prayers and thoughts
Mary, my thoughts and prayers are with you.
