Theresa F. "Terri" Steven

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at St. James Catholic Church in Jacobs Prairie for Theresa F. “Terri” Steven, 69 of Waite Park who passed away unexpectedly at her home on Thursday, July 24, 2008. Reverend Julius Beckermann, O.S.B. will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call between 4:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on Monday and after 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Joseph. Parish prayers will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.

Terri was born on July 6, 1939 in Brockway Township, Stearns County, Minnesota to John and Dorothy (Ziemba) Gallus. She graduated from Holdingford High School and from the St. Cloud Beauty College with her Cosmetology License. Terri owned and operated “Terri’s Hair Gallery” for over twenty years. She married Dean G. Steven Sr. on October 20, 1967 in St. Cloud. Terri was a Platform Instructor for the Hair Dressers Association for many years. Terri was an active member of St. James Parish and Funeral Choir. She also was on the Board of her housing community and volunteered in the Oncology Dept. at the St. Cloud Hospital.

Terri enjoyed quilting, crocheting, knitting and baking. She was a loving mother of six, and to many more who called her “Mom”.

Terri is survived by her children; Dean Jr. (Bev) of Anchorage, AK, Paul (Linda) of St. Cloud, Theresa (Doug) Schilling of Dimmitt, TX, Sue Steven (Matt Green) of Clifton, CO; Scott of Baltimore, MD; 14 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brothers, John, Gene, Jim and Tim; sisters, Angie, Nina, Delphine, Patty, Ellie, Mary, Carol and Diane.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; Dean Sr.; and son, William “BJ”.

She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and those who knew her.
