May 14, 1917 – January 4, 2010
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 AM on Thursday, January 7, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sauk Rapids, for Verene A. Timmers, 92, of St. Cloud, who died of natural causes on January 4, 2010. The Reverend Ronald Weyrens will officiate. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday (TODAY) at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud, and after 10:30 AM on Thursday at the church in Sauk Rapids. Parish prayers will be at 6:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.
Verene was born in St. Cloud on May 14, 1917, to John and Louise (Beumer) Tresco. She married Edwin Timmers on May 20, 1938 in Holy Angels Church. Verene worked as a seamstress at JC Penney for many years. She was a member of the Secular Order of St. Francis, and past member of the Moose Lodge and Christian Women. She was a former member of St. Augustine’s and St. Anthony’s Parish.
Verene is survived by: her children, Susan Clarke of Sauk Rapids, Rita (Dan) Schade of Northfield, OH, Joanne (Robert) Janski of South Haven, Ed (Mary) of St. Cloud, Colleen (Gus) Haag of Blaine, Rebecca (Steve) Sawyer of Oceanside, CA; 21 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; sister Clara Nohner of St. Cloud.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Rusty Wieber, son Michael, sisters Theresa, Rose, Regina, brothers Fritz, Henry and Earl.
The Timmers family would like to thank Good Shepherd Lutheran Home for their loving care and compassion.
Memorials are preferred to Good Shepherd Lutheran Home.

Verene was always such a nice Lady and I have many fond memories of her as a kid growing up.Great cook,wonderful Mom,nice Aunt..etc..etc…She and Ed can dance again and catch up on old times…I wonder if they have family picnics in heaven?My Love to Verene and all the survivors that are left here on this earth…Bruce
To the Timmers Family: I did not know your mother personally but felt I knew a little of her through great stories and memories from Becky. She was a beautiful person. I will say a prayer for her and all of you.
