Veronica J. Solinger

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, April 14, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Cathedral upper Church in St. Cloud for Veronica J. Solinger, age 82 of St. Cloud who passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at St. Benedict Center. The Reverend Bernard Gruenes will officiate. Entombment will be in Assumption Mausoleum, St. Cloud.

Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and after 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud. St. Anne’s Christian Women and Parish prayers will be 7:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.

Veronica was born on March 24, 1926 in Roscoe, MN to Leo and Mary (Kalthoff) Lauer. She married Earl J. Solinger on October 17, 1959 in Eden Valley, MN. They lived in both Benson and Morris prior to moving to Sartell and St. Cloud.  Veronica worked as a bookkeeper for Norm Rosha, Inc. 29 years before retiring in 1990.  She was a member of St. Mary’s Cathedral and St. Anne’s Christian Women. Veronica was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.

Survivors include her husband; daughters, Jean Marie Solinger of St. Cloud, Mary Brown of St. Cloud; two grandsons, Aaron (Friend Brandi Schlick) of St. Cloud and Ryan Brown of St. Cloud; brothers and sisters, Arnold (Ann) of St. Joseph, Rose (George) Funk of New Munich, Sr. Juliana, OSB of St. Joseph, Frances (Joe) Watkins of Denver, CO, Marie (Greg) Ehresmann of Duluth, Clara Neis of Little Canada, Larry (Mary) of Andover; sister-in-law, Miranda Lauer of St. Cloud, and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters and brothers, Lidwina, Tillie, Andrew, and John.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
