Veronica M. Janu

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 8, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waite Park, for Veronica M. Janu, 92, of St. Cloud, who died January 5, 2011. Burial will be in the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Parish Cemetery, Waite Park. The Reverend Matthew Kuhn will officiate.
Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 AM on Saturday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waite Park.

Veronica was born February 16, 1918, in Melrose, to Gerhard and Bernadine (Pohlman) Hellerman. She married John Janu on March 3, 1943, in Sauk Centre. She was a resident of central Minnesota for most of her married life. She was employed in housekeeping at the Breckenridge Hospital, and later at the St. Cloud Hospital where she worked for 17 years. Veronica was a member of the Christian Women, and St. Mary’s Cathedral.

Veronica is survived by: children Linda Roske (Bernard) of Sauk Rapids, Jerry Janu (Patricia) of St. Cloud, Carol OKonek of St. Cloud, Joanne Janu of St. Cloud and Marlene Laudenbach (Leon) of St. Cloud; 16 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; sister Adella Morgoian.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four sisters and four brothers, son-in-law Donald OKonek, grandson Joe Roske.
