Funeral Services will be 1 p.m. on Monday, October 20, 2008 at Calvary Baptist Church in Paynesville for Violet G. Owen, age 90 of Paynesville who passed away October 15, 2008 at Ridgeview Hospital in Waconia. Burial will take place in the Paynesville Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday at the Daniel-Anderson Funeral Home in Paynesville and after 12 Noon on Monday at the church.

Violet was born June 26, 1918 in Paynesville, MN to Frank and Sylvinia (Barger) Pratt. She married Roderick C. Owen on December 23, 1938 in Paynesville. She lived most of her married life in Paynesville. She loved knitting and being with her grandchildren and enjoyed camping and fishing.

Violet is survived by her children R. David (Rosemary) Owen of River Falls, WI, Rose Marie (Richard) Cloakey of Staples, MN, Valarie Lass of Richfield, Verna (Curtis) Gruber of Buffalo, Terry (LuAnne) Owen of Big Lake, MN and Timothy (Trudy) Owen of Minneapolis, 19 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter, brothers Samuel Pratt of Riverside, CA and Paul (Karen) Pratt of Paynesville and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Roderick (1992), great grandson Joseph Owen, sister Jennie Pratt, and sister-in-law Beverly Pratt.
