Werner J. Schreiner

Werner was born on April 25, 1928 at St. Nicholas, MN the son of John and Elizabeth (Schmidt) Schreiner.  He grew up in St. Nicholas and attended Cathedral High School in St. Cloud.  Mr. Schreiner joined the U.S. Marine Corps in the early 1950’s and served as an Honor Guard for President Eisenhower.  He married Jeanne Kothmann on September 21, 1957 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Clearwater, MN.  Three children were born to this union. Dave was a sales representative for various industrial chemical companies for many years.  They moved to Clearwater, MN in 1979.  Mrs. Schreiner died on July 31, 1993.  Dave has continued to make his home in Clearwater since that time.  Dave was a devoted member of AA and helped many people during his 25 plus years of sobriety.

He is survived by, one daughter Christine Schreiner(Russell Stanger) of Holdingford, MN, two sons, Joseph Schreiner of Port St. Lucie, FL, and Eric Schreiner of Palm Beach Garden, FL, three grandchildren Samantha Spoden, Andrew Schreiner, and Nathaniel Schreiner, three step-grandchildren, Jesse, Savanna, and Stephanie Stanger, his three brothers, Gebhard, Alvin, and Robert (Marilyn) Schreiner all of St. Cloud, MN and three sisters, Caroline Schreiner and Aurelia Grant of St. Cloud, MN and Marcella Thyen of St. Paul, MN and a special friend Eleanor Carl of Dayton, MN.

In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by: his wife Jeanne, three brothers, Raymond, Wendelin, and Edmund, and two sisters, Loretta and Bernadine.
