A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, January 2, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Cathedral Lower Church in St. Cloud for William B. “Bill” Waibel, age 76 of (Marty) Pearl Lake who passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at the Sterling Park Health Care Center in Waite Park. Reverend Aaron Kuhn will officiate. Inurnment will be at Calvary Cemetery, St. Cloud.
Family and friends may call after 9:30 a.m. on Friday at the church. Arrangements were by the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud.
Bill was born on March 20, 1932 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Frank and Helen (Behrens) Waibel. He was employed by the Great Northern and later the Burlington Northern Railroad for over 40 years. Bill made is home on Pearl Lake. He was a member of Pearl Lake Association and St. Mary’s Cathedral Parish where he served as an usher.
Survivors include his brother, James (Shirley) of Kimball; sisters, Mary Heflen of Battle Ground, Washington and Jane (Harry) Frank of St. Cloud; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Joyce Lundquist; and brother, Richard.
Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
