William F. "Billy" Heinz

August 26, 1974 – February 1, 2026

William “Billy” Ferdinand Heinz, 51, of St. Cloud, Minnesota, left this world suddenly and unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, February 1st, 2026, of a heart attack.

William (a.k.a. Billy, Will, or Wild Bill), was born August 26th, 1974, in Sauk Centre, Minnesota, to Louis and Fern (Nelson) Heinz. He graduated from Long Prairie High School in 1993, and went on to study Paralegal at Rasmussen College. Ultimately, he received his CDL and found his love for trucking. He recently joined his wife, Janet, at Cole Papers in St. Joseph, MN, where he worked as a delivery driver. No matter where he worked, he was consistently known for his dedication and strong work ethic.

Billy married Janet [Merritt] Heinz on August 18, 2018, in St. Cloud, MN. Their love story began in elementary school when a blue-eyed boy scooted over and offered his seat to the new girl. Years later, they re-connected in 2011. Billy loved Janet deeply. He treasured her, teased her, and cherished her with all of his heart.

Billy loved everything related to Pro-Wrestling & Football—he couldn’t get enough. He watched it, played it, and quoted it daily. His ability to impersonate Randy Savage was spot on, and his boisterous Ric Flair “whooooo” (yes, trademarked with 5 ‘o’s’) was heard often.

Billy’s true joy came from simple pleasures—he loved to make people laugh. His one-liner comments, and the way he would tease and try to get a rise out of people, could put a smile on anyone’s face. He was ordained in the state of Minnesota and performed multiple funeral services and weddings for friends and family. He was solid, dependable, and always there for others. If someone reached out to him in need of comfort, support, or a laugh, he was that charismatic force of nature that could make the situation better.

Billy is survived by his wife, Janet; children Santana Heinz, Hollister Heinz, Tarah Swanson, Alanna Swanson, Dalton Feeken; step-son Brett Hinnenkamp; mother Fern Johnson; siblings Andrew Heinz, Tim Sletta; step-mother Carol Heinz; step-siblings Tammy Swedal, Tom Rohloff, Tim Rohloff, Tracy Rohloff, Teresa Docken; in-laws Nancy & Scott Merritt, Paula & Travis Miller, Gail & Brad Quistorff, Marnita & Joel Anderson; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins who adored him.

He was preceded in death by his father Louis Heinz; step-father Marlynn Johnson; and son, Denver Feeken.

Billy’s sudden passing has left family and friends heartbroken. His kindness and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew him—a devoted husband, a loving father, and a loyal friend.

A Celebration of Billy’s Life will be held at a later date in the spring/summer. The family will share details once plans are finalized.
