Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 17, at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Clearwater, for Willis B. Keske, 78, of South Haven, who died September 13, 2011. The Reverend Steven Hoffman will officiate. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Marcus Parish Cemetery, Clear Lake.
Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 PM on Friday, and after 9:00 AM on Saturday at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Clearwater. Parish Prayers will be at 7:00 PM Friday at the church in Clearwater. Arrangements are with the Daniel Funeral Home, Clearwater.
Willis was born on November 3, 1932, in Fair Haven, to Bernard and Frieda (Kiehn) Keske. He served his country with the US Army in the Korean Conflict from 1953-1955. He married Bernelda “Berdie” Imholte on January 2, 1954. He attended High School in Kimball. Willis worked for Franklin/Frigidaire for 43 years before retiring. He also farmed in South Haven. He enjoyed spending time at the lake with his family.
Willis is survived by his wife, children Bernard (Theresa), Linda Keske, Jean (Dale) Schermer, Cindy (William) Schwinghammer, Kim (Erik) Stolberg, Chris (Julie); 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers Harold and Darrell, sister JoAnn Schmiesing, step-family Louise (John) Shaughnessy, Edmund (Joyce) Schaefer, Dorothy (Lee) Gilyard and Andy Schaefer; many family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Palmer.

We were very sorry to hear about Uncle Will. I had just talked to him at the grocery store a few weeks ago. He was always smiling and seemed a very gentle soul who will be missed.
